  5. For those planning to get PLDT internet @ home.....DON'T. I bought a post paid kit last January 20, 2010. From day 1 up to today, the line is intermittent. After about 1 month of no feedback from 101-328, finally they recommend to replace the modem. I went to PLDT SM Cubao, PLDT SM West, PLDT Diliman, PLDT Balara - no replacement modem available. Now they are referring me to CITY LITE (another company) for the modem repair replacement. I am now working on how to get my line terminated. PLDT says there are applicable pre-termination as I signed for 12 months!!!! PLDT should stop offering the service untill such time they are ready for the support. In my visits to PLDT offices, a lot of other customers are returning PLDT internet@home kits.

  6. Buy it at your own risk! I bought this Internet@Home last June 22, 2011, I did not have much expectation from this product since I knew that many of it's consumers end up returning the product to PLDT. However, I had no other choice but to avail and try it since its the only available service in the area. The moment I brought the package at home, I immediately called the agent to activate the account and within minutes my internet was up and running. With an RSSI of -67, RSCP OF -73 and a cell site I can see by just looking out the window, i had no trouble streaming Youtube and AnimeCrazy videos. Unfortunately, it lasted for only one day.
Came second day, and that's when all things change from good to bad to worse! My modem stopped working. I called the hotline, and after waiting for 20 minutes, I was able to speak to one of the agents. He said that my account was on system activation which meant I have to wait for another 24 hours for the activation to complete. He said that its out of their hands since the activation is system generated. 24 hours passed but still no connection. Finally, after 48 hours my connection was back.
BUT I WAS SURFING AT A SPEED LOWER THAT DIAL UPS., SIMPLE PAGES LIKE YAHOO AND GOOGLE TAKE 10-20 MINUTES TO LOAD. and up until now (july 2)the situation has not changed nor improved. Aside from a very slow connection i still sometimes get intermitent connection every 10 minutes. I have called their hotline more than 15X but non of their responses were of any help. they just kept on saying "sir nakaactivate naman po ang account nio and nakaescalate na po ang complaint nio sa aming technical team." it kept goin' for 9 days. same response but no clear solution. I will still be waiting until the third week, hoping for an improved speed pero pag wala pa ring mangyayari, ipapaputol ko na tong crappy Internet@Home na to, since 30 days naman ang allowable period para makuha yung refund sa binayad ko.
PAYO LANG, SA GANDA NG RSSI AT RSCP KO HINDI DAPAT GANITO KABAGAL ANG INTERNET KO. NARANASAN KO YAN NUNG UNANG ARAW NA BINILI KO UNG PACKAGE PERO RIGHT AFTER NG SYSTEM ACTIVATION NILA SA SOBRANG BAGAL NG CONNECTION KO MASMABILIS PA ANG DIAL UP. I SUSPECT THAT IT IS THE SYSTEM ACTIVATION THAT CONTROLS THE SPEED ALLOTTED TO USERS.
AGAIN, AVAIL THIS PRODUCT AT YOUR OWN RISK. SA HALIP NA MAKATULONG, MAPEPERWISYO LANG KAYO.
